The Walmart campus represents a pivotal advancement in mass timber construction within the United States. Foust Fab & Erectors has been instrumental in establishing new benchmarks for large-scale timber erection, showcasing the unique capabilities of union ironworkers to meet the complex demands of this developing market. Iron Workers Local 10 from Kansas City, Missouri, demonstrated that their core competencies in structural steel erection—encompassing precision, sequencing, safety, and rigging expertise—are directly applicable to the mass timber systems.

The project necessitated the installation of various mass timber components, including CLT panels, glulam beams and columns, as well as some of the largest mass-timber shear walls constructed to date.
