Jayud Global Logistics Secures Air Cargo Capacity to Enhance Cross-Border Logistics
SHENZHEN, China, Jan. 13, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Jayud Global Logistics Limited (NASDAQ: JYD) has announced a significant expansion in its cross-border logistics capabilities by entering into a Block Space Agreement (BSA) to secure dedicated air cargo capacity on the Zhengzhou-Chicago freight route. This deal takes effect on January 17, 2026, and marks a pivotal step for the company in enhancing its logistics operations between China and the United States.
Details of the Agreement
Under the one-year agreement, Jayud will lease allocated cargo space on B747-400F freighter flights, which will operate three times weekly between Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport (CGO) and Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD). The arrangement guarantees Jayud a weekly cargo capacity of approximately 16,800 kilograms, ensuring consistent and reliable air freight service.
This innovative BSA structure enables Jayud to provide air cargo services with reduced operational risks compared to operating its own aircraft, while maintaining competitive pricing and reliability. The agreement specifically supports the transport of cross-border e-commerce merchandise under the 9610 customs code, alongside electronic devices containing lithium batteries adhering to international aviation safety regulations.
Financial Implications of the BSA
Jayud estimates that the BSA will generate approximately 68 million RMB (US$9.8 million) in revenue, resulting in an expected profit of roughly 3.8 million RMB (US$0.55 million). This strategic move enhances the company's revenue streams and positions it to better serve its customers.
Xiaogang Geng, Chairman and CEO of Jayud, remarked, "This Block Space Agreement represents an important expansion of our cross-border logistics capabilities, providing our customers with direct air freight access between Central China and the U.S. Midwest. By securing dedicated capacity rather than operating our own aircraft, we can offer competitive air cargo services while managing capital requirements and operational complexity."
Strategic Importance of the Zhengzhou-Chicago Route
The Zhengzhou-Chicago route connects two pivotal logistics hubs. Zhengzhou is home to Foxxcom, the largest smartphone manufacturer globally, while Chicago O'Hare stands as one of North America's largest cargo airports with extensive ground transportation links across the United States. This new agreement is expected to facilitate smoother logistics operations and enhance business opportunities for Jayud.
