HOUSTON, Jan. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- KBR (NYSE: KBR) has announced the award of a Technical Support Services Contract (TSSC) worth up to $350 million from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). This contract aims to provide advanced technical solutions for the Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The new contract will place KBR at the forefront of a transformative era in Earth observation, coinciding with USGS's preparations for the groundbreaking Landsat Next mission, a three-satellite constellation set to launch in 2030.

Under this single Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, KBR will implement cutting-edge technologies including:

- Higher spatial resolution
- Global coverage every six days
- Imaging across 26 spectral bands, more than double that of current Landsat satellites
