Smithfield Foods, Inc. (Nasdaq: SFD) has officially opened applications for its 2026 Impact Grant Program, aimed at supporting nonprofit organizations that create significant change in the local communities where Smithfield employees live and work. This initiative underscores Smithfield’s commitment to fostering community resilience and vitality.
Program Details and Grant Opportunities
The Impact Grant Program will award grants starting from $10,000 through a competitive application process. Proposals will be evaluated based on:
- Demonstrated need in the community
- Potential impact of the proposed project
- Alignment with Smithfield’s focus areas: hunger relief, education, hometown heroes, and community vitality
Eligible nonprofit organizations are invited to submit their applications by February 6, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EST.
Commitment to Community Support
In 2024 alone, Smithfield invested over $32 million in community support, which included donations of more than 25 million servings of protein to address food insecurity. This grant program is part of Smithfield’s broader initiative to empower community partners to deliver impactful change in areas that require it the most.
