Funds from Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta Support Several Southeast Communities

Ameris Bank, a member of Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta (FHLBank Atlanta), is distributing three $1,250,000 grants to organizations in Georgia and Florida to support the construction of more than 170 affordable rental units.

The affordable housing development projects include:

  • Cardinal Pointe at 7550 Snyder Drive in Orlando — 120 rental units, sponsored by Neighborhood Lending Partners of Florida.
  • Building a Better Tomorrow at 2860 Collins Ave. in St. Augustine — 40 rental units, sponsored by Alpha Omega Miracle Home Inc.
  • Halcyon Home at 117 Garden Center Blvd. in Thomasville — 11 rental units, sponsored by Halcyon Home for Battered Women, Inc.

Ameris Bank worked with the sponsoring organizations to apply for the grants made available from FHLBank Atlanta's 2025 Affordable Housing Program General Fund. In total, FHLBank Atlanta awarded $50 million through a competitive review process to be distributed through its member financial institutions.
