WASHINGTON, Sept. 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Cognizant today announced its participation in the AI Education Taskforce meeting at the White House, joining senior executives from leading AI companies and officials from the Trump Administration to support a national initiative aimed at expanding AI education across the United States.
As part of this collaborative effort, Cognizant was among the first of more than one hundred organizations that pledged to empower America's youth with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in an AI-driven future.
"Cognizant is contributing philanthropic dollars, providing AI educational resources, and offering the time and talents of our associates to promote AI literacy and proficiency of thousands of teachers and tens of thousands of students by 2028," the company stated in its AI Pledge to America's Youth. "With these investments, Cognizant aims to cultivate the skills and knowledge necessary for an AI-ready workforce and the next generation of American innovators."
Ravi Kumar S, Chief Executive Officer of Cognizant, emphasized the company's leadership role in shaping the future of AI:
"As one of the foremost AI-driven companies, Cognizant has a responsibility to foster the next generation of AI talent. We are eager to collaborate with the White House, policymakers, industry leaders, and our clients to promote AI education and ensure that the benefits of AI are realized across all sectors of society."
Thea Hayden, Cognizant's Chief Marketing Officer, represented the company at the White House meeting:
"It was a privilege to attend the AI Taskforce meeting alongside leaders from industry, academia, and the nonprofit sector," said Hayden. "At a time when AI is revolutionizing software development and business operations, it is critical that we empower the next generation with the skills needed to thrive in the workforce of tomorrow."
Cognizant remains committed to advancing impactful AI education initiatives that prepare students and educators for the opportunities of the future. To address workforce disruptions caused by the rapid advancements of AI, Cognizant designed its global upskilling initiative, Synapse, so that everyone in the company can play an important role in making an impact. For example, employees take advantage of Cognizant's learning and development courses and volunteer to teach students STEM, while the talent division leads jobseeker training, and philanthropic support goes toward supporting skilling and education programs. Taken together, this approach supports Synapse's goal of advancing technology job training for one million people worldwide by 2026.
