ECD Automotive Design Supports Young Victor in His “Little Blue Truck Project”

KISSIMMEE, Fla., Dec. 10, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ECD Automotive Design, a public company trading under the symbol ECDA on the Nasdaq, has announced its collaboration with young enthusiast Victor in the exciting transformation of his vintage Series Land Rover into a fully outfitted overland vehicle. This initiative is part of the “Little Blue Truck Project,” aiming to inspire moments of joy during the holiday season.

Inspiration Behind the Project

In September 2025, ECD’s Marketing Manager, Dia Stewart, discovered Victor's inspiring story while browsing social media. Moved by Victor's dedication to his project, she reached out to his father, Norman, to invite them to visit the Rover Dome.

“This is solely about his journey,” said Dia Stewart. “It’s astounding that in today’s digital world, this young man has dedicated the time, effort, and drive to rebuilding this classic vehicle. It’s nostalgic and reminds me of when ECD first started out.”

The Vision of the “Little Blue Truck”

The vehicle at the center of this initiative, a 1963 Land Rover Series 2A referred to as “The Little Blue Truck,” symbolizes more than just transportation. As described by Genesis Overland, the project encapsulates “A boy. An old Land Rover. A dream of adventure.” Victor’s goal is to complete the restoration in two years, enabling his family to embark on a 2,100-mile trip, with approximately 70% of the journey off-road.

Funding the Dream

Remarkably, Victor is financing the project primarily on his own. Too young for a traditional job, he is raising funds through the sale of merchandise designed in collaboration with his art teacher. This includes apparel, T-shirts, and stickers, with all proceeds contributing directly to his vehicle build.

Victor’s Character Shines Bright

Victor's journey is not just about vehicles; it also highlights his character. He has proven to be empathetic and kind, befriending a new classmate who struggled with English, even learning Spanish to help her feel included. Such actions showcase the maturity of this remarkable young individual.

ECD's Hands-On Support

In support of Victor’s journey, ECD surprised him with a commitment to paint his Series build in his dream color, likely blue, to give it the polished finish he envisions. Additionally, ECD has contributed over $500 towards essential parts for the build, ensuring all items meet their high quality standards.

As the project progresses, ECD plans to bolster their support by encouraging vendors to contribute parts, sharing updates on social media, and documenting Victor's transformation journey at the Rover Dome.

Words from ECD Leadership

“We believe in celebrating genuine passion, hard-working craftsmanship, and the spirit of adventure,” expressed Scott Wallace, CEO and Co-Founder of ECD. “Victor’s story embodies everything we stand for at ECD, and we are honored to help bring ‘The Little Blue Truck’ to life.”

About the “Little Blue Truck Project”

The “Little Blue Truck Project,” launched by Genesis Overland, represents a tribute to youth and determination. The aim is to fully rebuild the vintage Land Rover and subsequently embark on a cross-country trip as a family. Funds are gathered through merchandise sales, further emphasizing community support and the power of youthful ambition.
