(NASDAQ: GOGO) has officially launched its next-generation 5G air-to-ground (ATG) connectivity network, following the successful completion of extensive flight testing. With over **30 hours of flight time** across nearly **20 routes**, this new network is set to deliver high-speed and low-latency connectivity to operators throughout North America and Southern Canada starting in January 2026.
Flight Testing and Network Performance
The comprehensive flight tests, designed to validate the network's capabilities, confirmed its resilience and performance metrics. During these trials, Gogo's 5G ATG network achieved download speeds exceeding **80 Mbps** and upload speeds of **20 Mbps**, facilitating seamless streaming and internet browsing simultaneously.
Initial Customer Onboarding and Market Readiness
With positive results from the testing phase, Gogo has successfully onboarded its first paying customer. Additionally, Gogo has **450 pre-provisioned aircraft** ready to utilize this highly anticipated service by January 2026 and beyond.
