Benjamin also serves as the Board Chair of the Center for Disaster Philanthropy. In December 2024, she was awarded the prestigious Outstanding Corporate Philanthropy Leadership Award from the Council on Foundations, and in 2022, she was named as one of the 100 Most Influential Black Americans by The Root.
