Palo Alto Networks Reports Fiscal Third Quarter 2025 Financial Results

Fiscal third quarter revenue grew 15% year over year to $2.3 billion. Next-Generation Security ARR grew 34% year over year to $5.1 billion. Remaining performance obligation grew 19% year over year to $13.5 billion. , /PRNewswire/ -- Palo Alto Networks (NASDAQ: PANW), the global cybersecurity leader, announced today financial results for its fiscal third quarter 2025, ended April 30, 2025. Total revenue for the fiscal third quarter 2025 grew 15% year over year to $2.3 billion, compared with total revenue of $2.0 billion for the fiscal third quarter 2024. GAAP net income for the fiscal third quarter 2025 was $0.3 billion, or $0.37 per diluted share, compared with GAAP net income of $0.3 billion, or $0.39 per diluted share, for the fiscal third quarter 2024. Non-GAAP net income for the fiscal third quarter 2025 was $0.6 billion, or $0.80 per diluted share, compared with non-GAAP net income of $0.5 billion, or $0.66 per diluted share, for the fiscal third quarter 2024. A reconciliation between GAAP and non-GAAP information is contained in the tables below. For the fiscal fourth quarter 2025, we expect: Next-Generation Security ARR of $5.52 billion to $5.57 billion, representing year-over-year growth of between 31% and 32%. Remaining performance obligation of $15.2 billion to $15.3 billion, representing year-over-year growth of between 19% and 20%. Total revenue in the range of $2.49 billion to $2.51 billion, representing year-over-year growth of between 14% and 15%. Diluted non-GAAP net income per share in the range of $0.87 to $0.89, using 704 million to 707 million shares outstanding. For the fiscal year 2025, we expect: Next-Generation Security ARR of $5.52 billion to $5.57 billion, representing year-over-year growth of between 31% and 32%. Remaining performance obligation of $15.2 billion to $15.3 billion, representing year-over-year growth of between 19% and 20%. Total revenue in the range of $9.17 billion to $9.19 billion, representing year-over-year growth of 14%. Non-GAAP operating margin in the range of 28.2% to 28.5%. Diluted non-GAAP net income per share in the range of $3.26 to $3.28, using 700 million to 708 million shares outstanding. Adjusted free cash flow margin in the range of 37.5% to 38.0%. Guidance for non-GAAP financial measures excludes share-based compensation-related charges, including share-based payroll tax expense, acquisition-related costs, including change in fair value of contingent consideration liability, amortization expense of acquired intangible assets, litigation-related charges, including legal settlements, non-cash charges related to convertible notes, and income tax and other tax adjustments related to our long-term non-GAAP effective tax rate, along with certain non-recurring expenses and certain non-recurring cash flows.
