Senstar Technologies Corporation Reports Fourth Quarter and Full Year 2024 Financial Results

Full Year 2024 Revenue Up 9% to $36 Million; Growth and Operational Efficiencies Drives $2.6 million in Net Income, a $3.9 Million Improvement From $1.3 Million Loss in 2023 , /PRNewswire/ -- Senstar Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: SNT), a leading international provider of comprehensive physical, video and access control security products and solutions, today announced its financial results for the three and 12 months ended December 31, 2024. Management will hold an investors' conference call today (at 5 p.m. Eastern Time) to discuss the results. Full Year 2024 Highlights: (Full year 2024 results compared to the full year 2023.) Revenue of $35.8 million with gross margin of 64.1% versus $32.8 million with gross margin of 57.5% Net income of $2.6 million versus a net loss of $1.3 million; EBITDA of $4.6 million compared with an EBITDA loss of $0.3 million Cash balance of $20.5 million and no debt as of December 31, 2024, compared with $14.8 million as of December 31, 2023 Fourth Quarter 2024 Highlights: (Results for the three months ended December 31, 2024 compared to the three months ended December 31, 2023.) Full Year 2024 Financial Results Summary Revenue was $35.8 million, an increase of 9% compared with $32.8 million in 2023. The increase in annual revenue was primarily due to increased demand for sophisticated security solutions in key vertical markets. Gross profit was $22.9 million, or 64.1% of revenue, for 2024 compared with $18.8 million, or 57.5% of revenue, in 2023. The increase in gross margin was due to recent price adjustments, streamlining of cost saving initiatives and the stabilization of supply chains. Operating expenses were $19.0 million, a decrease of 5.4% compared to the prior year's operating expenses of $20.1 million. The decrease in operating expenses is primarily due to diligent cost management measures initiated in 2023. Operating income for 2024 was $3.9 million compared to an operating loss of $1.3 million in the year-ago period. The improvement is the result of the healthy combination of revenue growth, gross margin expansion and expense management. Financial income of $0.7 million in 2024 compared to financial expense of $0.1 million in the year-ago period. Net income in 2024 was $2.6 million, or $0.11 per share, versus a net loss of $1.3 million, or ($0.06) per share, in 2023. EBITDA for 2024 was $4.6 million versus $0.3 million loss in 2023. Cash and cash equivalents and short-term bank deposits of $20.6 million, or $0.88 per share, as of December 31, 2024, compared with $14.9 million, or $0.64 per share, at December 31, 2023. Fourth Quarter 2024 Financial Results Summary Revenue for the fourth quarter of 2024 was $10.2 million, an increase of 14.5% compared with $8.9 million in the fourth quarter of 2023. Fourth quarter gross profit was $6.6 million, or 64.5% of revenue, compared with $5.1 million, or 56.6% of revenue, in the year ago quarter. Operating expenses were $5.1 million, an increase of 7% compared to the prior year's fourth quarter operating expenses of $4.8 million. The increase in operating expenses is primarily attributable to an increase in marketing and general and administrative expense, partially offset by a decrease in research and development expense compared to the 2023 period. Operating income for the fourth quarter of 2024 was $1.5 million compared to $0.3 million in the year-ago period. The increase in operating income is primarily attributable to the improvement in top line and in gross margin. Financial income was $0.5 million compared to $34,000 in the fourth quarter last year. Net income in the fourth quarter of 2024 was $1.6 million or $0.07 per share versus $0.4 million, or $0.02 per share in the fourth quarter of last year. EBITDA for the fourth quarter of 2024 was $1.6 million versus EBITDA of $0.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2023.
