Unum Group (NYSE:UNM) announced today that it has completed an offering of $300 million aggregate principal amount of senior notes due in 2035 with an annual coupon rate of 5.250 percent. The net proceeds from the sale of the senior notes will be used for general corporate purposes, including the replacement of cash and cash equivalents used to repay the $275 million aggregate principal amount of the company's 3.875% senior notes due 2025 that matured on November 5, 2025.
