PHOENIX, Sept. 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Universal Technical Institute (UTI), the transportation, skilled trades, electrical, and energy division of Universal Technical Institute, Inc., today announced that four of its campuses have been recognized by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) as part of the organization's 2025 accreditation cycle.

UTI-Lisle (Ill.), UTI-Mooresville (N.C.), and UTI-Bloomfield each earned the designation of ACCSC School of Excellence. The School of Excellence Award is the accreditor's highest institutional award and celebrates institutions' steadfast adherence to ACCSC's rigorous accreditation standards and outstanding record of student accomplishment.

In addition, UTI-Austin was named a School of Distinction—the highest honor available to a new campus—in recognition of its quality educational programming and commitment to ACCSC's expectations and rigorous accreditation.

"Each of our campuses has its own story, culture, and strengths, yet all share the same deep commitment to educational excellence and student achievement," said Tracy Lorenz, UTI division president. "From veteran campuses with a legacy of success to those just beginning to build their track record, our instructors and staff work tirelessly to help students master the skills that will define their careers. That dedication to quality training, personalized support, and proven results is what sets UTI apart—and these commendations are a reflection of that."

Both UTI-Lisle and UTI-Mooresville have earned the School of Excellence award multiple times, while UTI-Bloomfield is a past recipient of the School of Distinction honor.

"Congratulations to UTI on being named a 2025 ACCSC School of Excellence," says Michale McComis, Ed.D., executive director of ACCSC. "Through this award, ACCSC recognizes the school's hard work and dedication to promoting excellence, making student success central, and fostering a community committed to providing quality education. The school's efforts and success are evident."

The U.S. Department of Education recognizes ACCSC as the designated accrediting body for more than 650 post-secondary, trade, and technical schools that serve over 150,000 students nationwide in a variety of vocational programs. All schools that received accreditation between July 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025, were considered for the honor following a comprehensive review of the last accreditation cycle. Of the more than 265 initial and renewal applications reviewed this year, only 19 institutions earned the School of Excellence award.
