AD is the most common form of dementia and afflicts an estimated 7.2 million individuals in the United States, a number that is anticipated to increase to approximately 14 million by 2060.1 An additional nearly 12 million people serve as their caregivers.1 The long duration of the condition exacerbates the impact and burden on individuals and public health.
