New York, June 25, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Univest Securities, LLC (“Univest”), a member of FINRA and SIPC, and a full-service investment bank and securities broker-dealer firm based in New York, today announced the closing of registered direct offering (the “Offering”), for its client Houston American Energy Corp. (NYSE American: HUSA) (the “Company”), an independent oil and gas company. Under the terms of the securities purchase agreement, the Company has agreed to sell to an institutional investor (the “SPA”) for the purchase and sale of an aggregate of 81,629 shares of common stock at a purchase price of $14.80 per share in a registered direct offering. The aggregate gross proceeds to the Company of this offering were approximately $1.2 million, before deducting the placement agent's fees and other offering expenses payable by the Company. The Company currently intends to use the net proceeds of approximately $1 million from the offering for general corporate purposes. Univest Securities, LLC acted as the sole placement agent.
